UPDATE: 1/4/2015
We just had a big windstorm that lasted two days in our town. We had freezing temperatures and ice on the ground that might have helped to hold the trampoline down but the winds got up to over 70 miles per hour and our trampoline stayed put. It shook and vibrated but the legs of the trampoline never lifted off the ground that I could see. Neighbors had fences blown down and the city lost power due to electric poles toppling over. Very glad we had it tied down with the anchor kit.
Bought these a few weeks back for hurricane prep. This weekend they finally got put to the test, 60 mph gust and 30 mph sustained winds and it didn’t move. The safety net was completely bent over at times but the base never budged. Great buy!

The design flaw is that the strap end with 3 ends has one strap going back up the way it came. So it must be folded back on itself when tightening, meaning that the sewing is being pulled apart. This means in a year the threads are going to start to break. The strap should be going the same as the other two so that when stretched it looks like one strap instead of folding back pulling the seam open.
Was going to return this. But looking at the other products they seem to have the same design flaw. It is an easier way to manufacture, just wrong for durability. Maybe I'll use that strap to the anchor and keep it kinda loose. That way the seam isn't under constant pressure being pulled apart. It will only be under pressure during wind storms.
